    Pilgrim honest opinion, steer clear of setting up your HOTAS atm, just use your mouse and try to enjoy the already tainted with bugs verse. Save yourself a lot of time and effort.

    So first session in the verse as an org last night some valuable lessons learnt.

    1. Trade routes can be profitable for the group, having a cargo ship and the rest as protection if the hauler is happy to share the profits. There isn't enough stock at individual trade posts for all players to buy and sell.
    2. Gallog.co trading tool is providing accurate trade values.
    3. Mining is worth it if you have enough equipment. We're all going to need a mining vehicle of some sort, ROC miner upwards for it to be profitable atm. If you want to do personal mining your going to need to buy a multi-tool (weapons stores) and a backpack storage for gems (clothing stores).
    4. Mining buggies fit in the Cutless but not the normal Freelander (max?)
    5. Hotas setup seems a little buggy atm (might just be my hotas). Throttle issues with the t.1600 needs more investigation). Mouse controls can override hotas so you may need to remove mouse flight keybinds for the hotas to behave. There are custom hotas key maps built in for;

    6. Linked quantum jumps work and are initiated by the group leader. However all parties must be spooled and aimed at the jump point before the leader jumps.

    7. Spent a good few hours playing and everyone had a crash at some point. Joe suggesting this relates more with the loading times of assets (ability to fall off game) or the server getting full and functionality getting laggy and bugging out. Recommendation get SC on an SSD/M2 preferably move servers every few hours as a group.

    Twas a good crack thanks Chroma for sharing the loot.

    I think we should investigate other ways of making money as an org, practise our group skills (quatum jumping) sticking in close proximity to each other as regardless of whether we intend to do freight/escort/bounty were going to be safer and more profitable as a group.

    P

    Calling all citizens!

    Yes its still buggy, yes there's still crashes, yes rage will be experienced but I have to say its moving along. I haven't played since 3.5 but with 3.10 going live a whole host of stuff has been added since then;

    • Mining has been introduced
    • Ability to transfer funds between players
    • Quantum jump linking, quantum jump as a group
    • A bunch of new places to visit
    • All ships, upgrades, clothing etc has been moved in game (not pledge purchases)
    • Flight avionics now take into account the differences of moving from space to an atmosphere
    • There's now a prison to serve crimes in, citations and random security checks when in secured space
    • Character customization
    • TrackIR is working
    • FOIP is working
    • Theres ground vehicles, buggys, a mining vehicle and a multi role transport/AA vehicle, theres a IFV type vehicle on the way
    • Health has been added, you now need to eat and drink and are affected by heat and cold
    • Hailing other ships and ship scanning is now a thing

    I still can't launch my snub nose from the connie damn it :(

    Anyway there is now a GOL ORG here - https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/GOLIB

    Join us!

    If you fancy derping the verse give me a shout, i may start playing it semi regularly.

    I'm not sure when this was updated but Woofer the guy who developed Indicam has thrown a mention our way on the BI forum and I think we should repay the favor by supporting his thread. Please can I ask everyone to throw a like his way on the main post as well as rate the topic at the top. I'm sure he'd appreciate any positive (or negative) feedback as well.

    Many thanks all

    Oksman sure no problem on using the footage. I'll upload a copy of the air assault stuff for you to download, the files are fairly large 4 to 7gb for 3 hours at 1080p normally.

    Yeah it is cool stuff angles you wouldnt normally see in ARMA. It could still be improved with a bit of work on the camera settings. Some cameras are a bit off still, jittery, or just pointing at nothing, fast moving close up stuff being the worst or if the camera enters a object like a rock or a wall for instance. Controlling indicam has gotten easier but its still fiddly to control and has a mind of its own sometimes though it is stable now and not crashing.
