Very simple script for a hostage situation

Simple Hostage Script


How this works:

The unit within the trigger executing the script is set as captive and plays a "surrender" move. The trigger is set to detection. Therefore if the players are spotted within said zones by the enemies, they will shoot the hostage. The hostage can be released by a action and joins then as a NPC the player group. Therefore it can be commanded like any npc to hop into a vehicle. The Safezone will remove the unit from the group. After a time the unit gets finally deleted.


How to use it:

1.) copy the FP folder to your mission


2.) copy all things on the sample mission (VR) to your mission. Adjust the trigger sizes.


3.) Adjust the sides in the "detection" trigger around the hostage (Playerside must be deteced by enemy side -> in the example: Bluefor players vs. opfor enemies).


4.) Place the safezone at your base and the hostage trigger around the hostage. Don't make the area to big, or players have no chance to get to the hostage since they really can get detected quickly.
